Herb Plants Growing Guide
FAST TIP 1
Watch the Drainage! Most herbs prefer moist, but well-drained soil with plenty of sun. Ensure you have ample zeolite or perlite in your medium. Very wet soils will not produce happy herbs.
FAST TIP 2
Every herb has somewhat different requirements for sun and soil. Read up before you purchase or plant, especially if you're planning on different varieties sharing pots. Put plants with the same basic needs in the same pot. When planting outdoors especially know which herbs are annual, biennials, and perennial will help you decide about how to arrange your plantings.
FAST TIP 3
A well-prepped garden with fresh soil can go along way. Using soil that is tired, with no nutrients left to offer you herbs isn't conducive to success. Ensure you add ample organic material like a compost and earth worm castings. When transplanting or starting from seed use Myke herb and veggie. It will give your plants a great head start and a super healthy root system. In your garden, turn over the soil and working in some digested compost is a more fitting home. In pots, avoid garden soils like topsoil or black earth! Using potting soil or ProMix it will be lighter and fluffier, perfect for herb growing.
