The nickel-plated steel hinged grid makes re-fueling for long smokes easy without having to remove the cooking surface or move the food. Get the best of both worlds with a new PK.

Wood-fired food originated with cavemen; what once was an ancient necessity is now simply delicious. Traeger grills plug into a socket and use minimal electricity; they are low tech, and gas free. How it Works
Wood pellet grills use an auger that moves the hardwood pellets from the hopper to the fire pot underneath the grill. The higher the set temperature, the more pellets are dispensed into the auger. Once in the fire pot, a hot rod ignites the pellets creating a fire, then a fan stokes the fire creating convection heat to evenly cook your food in the grill. A drip tray sits over the fire pot, keeping the direct flames off your food while catching food drippings to help prevent flare-ups.
Digital electronic controls make setting your grill as easy as setting your oven, all it takes is the turn of a dial. Traeger grills use Advanced Grilling Logic® to ensure that you get consistent temperatures throughout your cook, and some models even offer Smoke Science technology. Can I use charcoal briquettes or lighter fluid in the EGG?
Please don't! Traditional briquettes contain a variety of materials, including nitrates, chemicals, anthracite coal, limestone, treated wood, starch, sawdust or petroleum by-products. Does anyone really want to cook with those additives? We recommend using only Big Green Egg 100% Natural Lump Charcoal for a clean, controllable fuel source. Natural lump charcoal burns efficiently and produces very little ash, so cleanup is easy.
NEVER USE LIGHTER FLUID or charcoal products that contain lighter fluid… you don't need it and you don't want the chemical taste on your food. Our Natural Charcoal Starters or Electric Starters are designed to start your EGG quickly and cleanly.
Is there a rotisserie attachment available?
No, because when you add the convEGGtor for indirect cooking, the EGG acts as a convection oven and a rotisserie isn't necessary. The natural convection effect due to the ceramic construction and superior performance that the EGG provides eliminates any need for a rotisserie attachment.
What comes with the EGG?
